What team do you support? Wellington Hurricanes and the All Blacks

What is your favourite away ground? I like going to all away grounds because it gives me the chance to see more of the Irish country side while I’m over here.

Who is your rugby idol? Tana Umaga, I liked the physicality about him and the way he would lift the other players games around him when captaining the All Blacks and Hurricanes.

Any Pre match superstitions? More out of habit rather than superstition but I always wear the same boxers for each game

Who is the best player you have played with? I would have to say Nigel Hunt, a current New Zealand 7’s player he just had the ability to create something out of nothing

Who is the best player you have played against? I’ve had the chance to play against a lot of good players back in New Zealand a few NPC and Super 14 players but would have to say Neemai Tialata a current All Black prop. Luckily I never ran into him and he never ran into me on the field because he was massive and I think I would have come off second best

If you could introduce one thing to your sport what would it be? Non freezing pitches, it’s been so frustrating this season with all the games called off due to the grounds being frozen

Who do you think will win the six nations? France. However they are such an unpredictable team so they could still blow it for themselves

What is the best advice you have been given by a manager? They day you stop enjoying playing should be the day you hang up your boots.

Who is your ideal WAG? Cheryl Cole is back on the market now isn’t she?

If you could invite three players out for a drink who would you invite? Mark Ellis because after reading his book he has some pretty funny stories. Tana Umaga just because I think he was such a great player. And Danny Platt because there’s never a dull moment with that boy.

Who is the best/worst dress player in your changing room? Best dressed would be Keith Thompson he has the London look. Worst Dressed Chris Watson with his bright coloured underpants

Who does the most moaning on the pitch? I think all the boys on the team would have to say Bertie

Who’s your teams best player? We play very well as a team rather than individuals but Marty seems to stand out more often than not.

Who is your biggest show pony? I would have to say Martin Irwin after this Saturday’s drop goal. To kick such an ugly kick and still get it over he thought he was class.

What has been the highlight of your rugby career? Playing for Wellington in age grade reps.

What has been the low point of your career? I’ve made a handful of finals over my career but have never managed to come away with any trophies.

What’s the best team you have played this season? City of Derry were a very good side we have come up against this season so would have to be them.
