It was during this time when Armoy had only 12 players on the pitch that K Kerr opened the scoring and two minutes later G Christie added a second to put them 14-0 up before M Walker returned to the pitch to put the team up to 13 players for the remainder of the match.

J Cassley was the next to add a try when in typical fashion he barged over the line after several would be tackles. P Kerr converted and this left the score at 21-0 to Armoy at half-time.

With a stiff breeze advantage the home team pinned Armoy in their 22 metre area and using their two man advantage on overlap was made and a try was scored wide out with the conversion missed.

On the restart a huge cheer went up as Walker pushed up an opposing player on his shoulder and went ten metres before crashing to the ground much to the referee’s amusement as well.

This left the final score at 45-5 to Armoy after an extraordinary match.
