Unique jackpot win for Gracehill woman

ANOTHER jackpot has been won, the third this year, and what a nice story it is.

Each week the jackpot is drawn last and the major winners are allocated first by computer. The first name out was John Montgomery (C5447) who wins 50 and is a member of Maurice Anderson’s agency.

Then when the jackpot was drawn, the numbers, 10, 19, 22, 27 were found to be those of Maime Montgomery, who happens to be John’s mother and is also a neighbour of Maurice Anderson’s! Maime picks up a jackpot win of 400 and for Maurice, an agents’ winners bonus of 40.

Maurice, who has an agency of over 60 members, and together with Gracehill and Galgorm Senior Citizens, has seen the area become a Sports Bond hot spot! Congratulations to the Montgomery family and Maurice for his sterling work as an agent.

There was quite a story to each of the other 50 major winners this week. For interest, Andrew Downie (B7163) is the promoter of the Five Star Lottery at Ayr United, one of the largest in Scotland and is a close friend of Brian Thompson. Andrew was a major 50 winner and won previously as a major winner this year!

Next up was Helene French (A0391) who only joined this week after being canvassed on her doorstep in Meadowvale by Brian Thompson. Well done Helene, does it get any better than this?

Next up is the person who can not stop winning on Sports Bond! Sarah Jane Gilmore (C0023), who is the daughter of Sharon and Craig Gilmore and is a huge Ballymena United fan. We have lost count of her wins, but well done to Sarah Jane!

‘PHONES FOR SKY BLUE’

The latest Sales and Marketing fund-raising initiative was launched in the last week.

Called “Phones for Sky Blue,” it is asking supporters to donate old mobile phones for cash. Local business, Fone Xchange of Greenvale Street has become a partner in the initiative.

Proprietor Michael McIlroy has agreed to purchase old mobile phones from Brian and the money generated will go to United. Also supporters are encouraged to buy their phones and accessories from Fone Xchange.

Also Fone Xchange have become the first members of Sports Bond Business Section and have taken out two memberships.

”Last season we started the recycling initiative of old clothes for new players and this has proved very successful,” said Brian, “where sponsorship is hard to come by we have in turn to be creative.” Brian is calling upon all supporters to support the initiative and donate old mobile phones to him at (028) 25641886.

The first “First Score” of the new season will be on Saturday away to Linfield.
