Up and coming event for Ballymoney Club

As always Ballymoney Cycling Club have a number of up and coming events line up to keep them busy.

This Wednesday night (April 27) is the road race number 2 in the fixtures around the Balnamore, Bendooragh, Glenstall course, 7 laps (30 mile).

This is a special course that always attracts a good field and very fast and competitive racing.

Sign on from 6pm and racing from 7pm (the start and finish is to be confirmed, more details will be released soon).

The race is open to all categories, senior, woman, juniors and youth so please come along and support the event.

Meanwhile the Dark Hedges Sportive is on it’s way and you can join them on Sunday, May 1st!

This new event on the Ballymoney calendar is a truely spectaclar and one not to be missed.

The event features the famous Dark Hedges, the Antrim Coast with Whitepark Bay and the Bushmills Distillery on the 34 mile course. This route has many points to cut the cycle short and re-join again, giving cyclist a 25 mile option.

While the 50 mile challenge also features the Dark Hedges but goes by Ballintoy and the 2014 Giro d’Italia route round to Ballycastle, the back of Knocklayde, Magherahoney, Altnahinch and back through Loughguile to the start point at Ballymoney Rugby Club where tea/coffee and refreshments will be served.

Everyone is very welcome and if you are wanting a challenge and some good company, this Sunday 1st May sign on from 8:15 at the Ballymoney Rugby Club with roll out at 10am.

All proceeds and donations are to help Ballymoney create history with the first ever team going to the 8 day stage race on the 22nd May.
