Upperlands on ‘steep learning curve’

The Crues wasted no time in going about their work as they quickly raced into a 3-0 lead after only half an hour.

Just when it looked like Upperlands were given a lifeline when their captain McDonald powered a header in from a corner, the away team restored their three goal cushion almost straight away, 1-4 at half-time.

The home side battled well for the first 15 minutes of the second half but Coleraine soon established themselves again and went on to score another four goals. Upperlands manager Johnny Proctor said after the game that he was proud of his ‘young guns’ and that it was a steep learning curve as they were just out classed by a a very impressive Coleraine side.
