Valley forced to settle for two

LAGAN Valley had to settle for two points when they lost by 14 shots at home to Holywood in NIBA Division Five on Tuesday night.

Jeff Fawcus won 27-9 and Wilfie Benson edged home 20-18, but Jim Kinkead lost 13-21 and Billy Hobson went down 10-36.

Lagan Valley were unable to field a team for the first round Intermediate Cup tie away to McQuiston on Wednesday night.
