Lagan Valley got back to winning ways in NIBA Division 5 with a one shot win at home to Donaghadee B to boost their survival hopes.

Down 4-11 at the tenth and 6-22 at 15 ends Michael Blair lost by 14 shots.

A seven at the fourth helped jim Kinkead to a 19-5 lead at the tenth and 27-16 at 15 ends before winning by 13 shots.

Two threes enabled Jeff Fawcus to lead 12-9 at the tenth and he increased the lead before lifting a six at the last end to win by five shots.

It was 8-8 at the tenth but Jim Spence was 13-11 ahead at 15 ends before losing by three shots.

Finaghy scored a big win and took all seven points when they beat high-flying Lurgan B by 49 shots in NIBA Division 4 at Wedderburn Park.

Randal Megrath led the way with a 23 shots success and Trevor Flack weighed in with a ten shots success.

In an easy win Eric Ashton got home by eight shots and John Campbell by the same margin.
