VIDEO: Medal win would ‘top off’ career for Madeline
Banbridge woman Madeline Perry kicks off her Commonwealth Games campaign at 4.30pm today against Sharon Chimfwembe from Zambia.
Perry got a bye through the last 32 and so begins her quest for a medal in the last 16.
Madeline lost in heart-breaking fashion in the quarter-finals in 2010. If she gets through today’s round, she is likely to face Australia’s Kasey Brown, who knocked out our girl in Delhi.
