Villagers take bonus points

WARINGSTOWN took the three bonus points after the rinks were shared between the two teams.

Ken McCoy, Noel Wilson, A. Burrell and C. Coleman on one for Waringstown gave their side a healthy lead with a 14-5 victory over Ian Ferguson, John Taylor, George Bleakes and Drew Kirk.

St John’s fought back on mat two where Charlie Whitty, A. Mulligan, Raymond Perry and Mary Whitty won 9-7 against Adrian Reed, Tom Perry, B. McCoy and B. Irwin.

Waringstown slipped up on mat three where Keith McCoy, Tommy Anderson, Margaret Harrison and J.McCullough lost 12-5 to Billy Martin, Darryl Hawkins, K. Magowan and I. Cunningham.

But the villagers secured an overall victory when Nigel McCoy, H. Matthews, J. Copeland and M. Abbott won 11-6 on mat four against Sadie White, Bobby Jones, T. Ferguson and Billy Hutchinson.
