Wallace got off to a stunning start, 2-0 up within the opening 12 minutes, skipper Sean Murray netting the first.

Regent’s Ryan Millar pulled a goal back but Wallace raced straight back up the pitch and Matthew Nelson scored to restore the two-goal advantage.
Murray turned provider for Wallace’s fifth as they looked to put the game beyond all doubt when Andrew O’Hare deflected in.
However, Regent proved they have a lot of battle, roaring back with two goals to make it 5-3 with 20 minutes remaining.

Ryan Getty struck to make it 6-3 with 11 minutes left on the clock but even then, Wallace couldn’t relax.
Peter McKibbin grabbed Regent’s fourth before Josh Gilmore completed his hat-trick to reduce the deficit to just one still with four minutes to play.
However, Wallace saw out those final nervy moments to continue their defence of the historic trophy.
