Wallace lose out in Schools’ Cup decider

Wallace have been beaten 14-10 in the Schools’ Cup final by RBAI.

The locals had secured the early advantage thanks to a try by Conor Guiney but the conversion was missed and Inst rallied back to claim the half-time lead.

Lewis McNamara touched down for RBAI and then Dromore lad TJ Morris added the extras from the conversion. That helped to make up for two early missed penalties by the kicker.

Just before the break, Wallace missed a good chance to get their second try after a line-out in the corner but couldn’t get the ball over the line.

Nonetheless, Trouton put Wallace back into the lead with another unconverted try.

That was to be as good as it got for the Lisburn lads and Jack Conlin ran in another score for Inst. Morris again added the extras to seal victory.
