Warke wins

FORMER Irish international cricketer Stephen Warke produced a fine round of one over par to take first prize at Templepatrick Cricket Club's annual golf day last week.

The seven-handicapper’s score of 42 points in blustery conditions gave him a deserved victory at Greenacres Golf Club, Ballyrobert on Friday (July 2).

More than 50 golfers turned out for the annual event, which was supported by Greenacres Golf Centre, Colin Lyttle at Ballyclare Golf Club, Collinview Restaurant, Antrim Hills Water, Newtownabbey Borough Council, Ashers Bakery and Mossley Mace.
