McConville, a second half substitute for the injured Brian McGuigan, punched two Mick Hagan efforts to the net as Ardboe eased past Moy.

A late Ryan Mellon penalty helped to put a gloss on the final score but in truth Ardboe were much the better side, as they held the Tir na nOg scoreless for the opening half.

Played in blustery conditions in O’Neill Park, both sides made late changes to their named sides prior to the throw-in.
