Watson on song with 11 darter

THE Eglinton & District darts league continues tomorrow (Thursday) night with Drummond Hotel taking on Rising Sun B; Macons host Longfield B; Rising Sun A entertain Eglinton CC A; Longfield A face Donaghys A; Donaghys B take on The Vale; The Depot come up against John Ts and Eglinton CC B have home advantage over Happy Landing, while Calablanca have a bye this week.

The next meeting is on Monday, October 1, in the Longfield Inn, at 8.30pm sharp and all teams must have at least

representative in attendance this season or fines or point deductions will be incurred.

There will be matters up for discussion at this meeting such as registration of teams and players fees which is the deadline date for payment this year.

Last Thursday night saw Conrad Watson (Rising Sun A) stole the show with a superb individual performance with an 11 dart leg after a 16 dart leg to get him into the groove.

After a 13 dart leg in the opening week from his team mate Sean McKinney many were predicting it would be difficult

to beat but already two games into the season Conrad Watson has done that and set the huge target of an 11 darter to beat to claim least darts this season. This will definitely take something really special.

There were also good recorded legs of darts from Brian Murray (The Depot) 18 darts; Mickey Moore (20 darts);

Raymond Kilkey (Donaghys) 21 darts; Marius O’Reilly (John Ts) 20 darts; Austin Thompson (Calablanca) 21 darts.

There was one maximum score of 180 recorded from Conrad Watson (Rising Sun A).

The highest checkout of the week was a super 122 checkout on the bullseye from Gerry McCormick (Donaghys A).
