We can do it, say Campbell and Watson

Loughgiel captain Johnny Campbell and talisman Liam Watson believe the club has a great chance of victory in the All-Ireland Club Hurling final.

Campbell said: “It’s one we’ve never experienced before as players, the club’s been in one before but it was long before our time. As a boy when you’re out writing your ambition sheets you always put down that you’d love to win an All-Ireland with your club and your county, and we’ve a chance - we’re only a game away.

“It’s every hurler’s goal to win an All-Ireland and we can’t get carried away at this time when we’ve still got a job to do.”

He added: “All the hype and all the razzmatazz around the parish you could lose your focus, it’s hard to keep your focus, but you just have to.”

Star player Watson is determined to get his hands on the Tommy Moore Cup.

He said: “Well I haven’t won anything yet - I’ve won two Antrim championships and two Ulsters but playing in Croke Park is a special occasion at any time and playing for your club on St Patrick’s Day is something special and something you always dreamed of as a boy.”
