"I told them I wouldn't accept them dropping their standards just because they are playing a First Division side.

"In that game I had quite a few young players, in fact two or three of them were teenagers, they all done well and because of that I have a selection headache for the Ards game, as I now have a few senior players now available for selection."

Gregg also gave a special mention to captain for the night Thomas Wray and he believes if the ex-Dungannon Swifts defender can stay clear of injuries that can only help his side.

"To be honest if I had Tommy Wray for half of our league games this season, then I'm convinced we would be further up the league table," he added.

"He has been playing through the pain barrier for us in recent games, but his experience at the back for us has been invaulable. People have to remember we are playing with a back four who don't have a lot of first team experience, so to have Tommy back there helps us bigtime."

As for this weekend's trip to Dixon Park, the 'Stute gaffer knows a victory could move his side up the Ladbrokes.com Championship One table.

"We are three points behind Ards and there is a lot of football still to be played, but we need to make sure we maintain our level of performance."
