It’s even more special this year as it will be the club’s 25th Anniversary Prize giving and Dinner.

Formed in 1989, the club has seen many changes throughout it’s history. It has had many lean years but is now in as strong a position as it has ever been.

So this Friday night (14 November) along with their special guests from Cycling Ulster Tommy and Marian Lamb and Brendan and Bronagh Kirk, Wheelers’ club Chairman Billy Maxwell will give everyone a very warm welcome along to Snuggs Restaurant in the Albert.

There will surely be many a story told on the night of past episodes in the club.

After the prize-giving and dinner, the club’s attention will turn to 2015 racing season.

The Wheelers’ runs in 2014 were the best turnouts the club have had for a long time and there is a fantastic buzz about the club again.

Next year, the club will again have 16 trophies to compete for. All will be hard to win,so anyone who will be picking one up at next week’s dinner can feel proud.

Anyone who would like to ride a bike and fancy giving the racing a go then log unto the web www.westdownwheelers.com or the club Facebook.
