Wheelchair basketball a great success

Groundwork Northern Ireland helped the North West Eagles Wheelchair basketball group to further establish its impact in the local community by joint funding the wheelchair basketball taster session with SHINE Charity and providing two basketball systems to enable the group to better facilitate future junior sessions. Normally sessions are charged at £3 per person but through Groundwork Northern Ireland and SHINE Charity’s collaboration the session was free to anyone who wanted to attend.

The session proved a great success with an influx of new members.

Sessions are held fortnightly at the Magee Campus Sports Hall of the University of Ulster and sports wheelchairs are available.
