Whites ease to victory

There was a return to league action in the Lisnagarvey Darts as Whites were the biggest winners.

They saw off Beattie 8-2, six of their winners topping 100. They were W Manley (104, 140), H Moulds (100), W Moulds (100), J Brown (100, 109), C Brown (100, 121) and W Moulds (100). J Robson and J Moulds also won.

Elsewhere, Highwaymen saw off Anvil 7-3 thanks to wins for W Mullan (100), J Bishorek (22 darts), E Mullan (100), C Willis (2x100), M Lilley (100), D Moorehead (24 darts, 120 o/s, 2x100) and S Willis.

There were impressive performances for Anvil trio R Benson (20 darts, 140), J Jess (140) and P Ridge (21 darts, 100).

First Blues and Hillsboro A played out a 5-5 draw. T parsons Jun (140), T Friers (140), G Bell, S Tully and B Mawhinney (100,138) won for the home side while J Murray, D Gibson (100,140), N Bryans, D Morgan (100) and C McClements (100) won for Hillsboro.

Bleachers beat Sandymount 6-4. S Rice, I McAlister, B Gorman (100), D White, P Smith and A Heasley (140) won for Bleachers.

Last week the First Blues Ladies Dart League held their annual Liz Graham Charity Pairs Competation in the Linfield Bar.

In the prelim round K.Cooper & M.Jackson beat W.Evans & K.Watson, S.L.Rainey & M.Somerville beat G.Jones & C.Jones, M.Beattie&E.Evans beat N.Hamilton&S.McMeekin, M.McCrudden&S.McKee beat L.Fisher&B.Graham, N.Johnson&A.Sharkey(100) beat S.Spiers&M.Boal.

In the first round, M.McCrudden&S.McKee beat T.Johnson(120)&J.Watson, K.Cooper&M.Jackson beat Z.Graham&J.Hanna(100), N.Johnson&A.Sharkey beat M.Beattie&E.Evans and G.Mullan(100,121)&C.Mulholland(100) beat S.L.Rainey&M.Somerville.

In the semi, K.Cooper & M.Jackson beat N.Johnson & A.Sharkey to play G.Mullan (100) &C.Mulholland, who beat M.McCrudden&S.McKee.

In the final some very good darts were thrown. The result could have gone either way but it was K.Cooper&M.Jackson who hit their doubles to beat G.Mullan(100,140)&C.Mulholland to win the Competation.
