Whites send Coleraine crashing to defeat

LISBURN Distillery stunned high flying Coleraine with a shock 3-1 win at the Showgrounds.

Few gave the Whites much hope on the road, especially against a team that has been fairly concistent all season.

In the race to beat the drop this was a massive three points and could prove the morale boosting result that manager Tommy Wright has been seeking for weeks.

Things began brightly for the visitors when Gavin Melaugh fired the Whites ahead but the home side hit back soon after through Darren Boyce.

However, the Whites did not wilt and when Neal Gawley scored a superb second they began to believe they could come away with a much needed victory.

The three points were sealed when John Curran scored on his debut to seal the shock result.
