Wilko's puncture paves the way for Dave

And that opened the door for David Frizell to pop up and take another victory over the other 14 riders
He was the fastest Wheeler home round the Castlewellan Road circuit but the winner of the handicap was Alistair McCourt, who looks like winning the Outlook Shield with the next 10 on the Rathfriland Road next Tuesday (August 9).

Hide AdIn last week’s race, there was no doubt that Wilko was on a fast time before he had to pull out. He has had another superb season with the Wheelers.

On Tuesday 16, it’s the final road race of the season over the tough Donacloney circuit starting at Hayes Pipes at 7PM. After that, it’s the final 10 of the season on Tuesday 23 on the Castlewellan Road for the Maxwell Trophy. No tri bars are allowed in this event.
The season ends on Tuesday August 30 with the hillclimb to bring the curtain down on another fantastic season in club events and open races. The Wheelers send full marks to Clive Adamson for organising a superb series of club events.
With the holidays now over, all the Wheelers will give it their best shot in the final four events.
