Wilson wins Monthly Medal at Castlerock

FIVE handicapper Philip Wilson shot a two under par gross 71 over the Mussenden links at Castlerock on Saturday to win the May Monthly Medal.

This converts to a super net score of 66 and was only one shot clear of Ian Millar who, off 7, returned a net 67. Ian covered the back nine in two under par gross to take second place on countback from Eamon McGuinness who must be content with winning the low section prize.

Electrical contractor Malcolm Gamble (16) shocked himself on a rare foray into Saturday golf by scoring a net 69 and winning the high section.
