The Lisnagarvey winning run, which had been extended on Tuesday night with a win at Banbridge came to an end on Saturday when they lost by seven shots at home to Balmoral to take two points in NIBA Division One.

A four and a three helped Neil Mulholland to an 11-3 lead at the eighth and 20-4 at 15 ends, but Balmoral came back over the closing stages though Garvey won by seven shots.

Level 6-6 at the ninth Noel Graham was 7-13 down at 15 ends and only added another shot to lose by 15 shots.

At the ninth Ivan Craig was 4-6 down, but he added nine shots without reply over the next six ends before winning by nine shots.

Despite lifting a three Keith Morrison was 7-10 down at the ninth and he failed to get back into the game when losing by eight shots.

Lisnagarvey’s good run in NIBA Division One continued when they travelled to Banbridge on Tuesday night and came away with five points from a ten shots win.

Down 2-8 at the fifth Noel Graham came back with two threes and a four to lead 13-9 at the tenth and 17-14 at 15 ends. Garvey lifted three at 19 ends but it was 22-22 with an end left when they dropped a three.

A three and a five helped Ivan Craig to a 14-5 lead at the tenth and he added three and five to lead 26-8 at 15 ends. Garvey went on to win by 17 shots.

Despite lifting a three Neil Mulholland was 6-11 down at the tenth and 9-15 at 15 ends. Garvey won four ends from 17 ends and it was 14-18 with an end left when Garvey dropped a five.

Keith Morrison started with a three but dropped three at the tenth when he was 10-6 up. A four at 14 ends gave Garvey a 17-7 lead and they were 20-8 ahead at 18 ends before dropping four and three but winning by five shots.
