Women's rugby returns to Lisburn as they urge ladies to line out for club

Lisburn Rugby Football Club is calling out to all ladies over the age of 18 with an interest in taking up rugby.

You don’t need any previous experience and all abilities are welcome as the club look to follow in the success of the Irish and Ulster Women’s teams in recent years.

If you aren’t sure that rugby is for you, why not go along to one of their weekly taster sessions on Wednesday 13th and 20th April at 7pm and decide for yourself?

The club will also be hosting an open evening on the 27th April followed by a BBQ and they would like to invite everyone interested in supporting or playing for the team to attend.

Organiser Trina Dyer commented: “I am holding taster sessions from April 6 at Lisburn Rugby Club for four weeks, this will involve getting to know all about rugby and making new friends, while also getting fit and having fun and being part of a team.

“The women can watch or they can join in. we welcome women aged 18+ from all abilities and no experience is required - you don’t need to be super fit.

“It’s about having fun and being part of a team and pushing yourself,” Trina said.
