Wonderful William lifts the Meharg
The Meharg Memorial Trophy at Castlerock Golf Club is a Ladies and Gents competition and was won at the weekend by 25 handicapper,William Atkinson, scoring 40 points.
His better back nine was all that separated him from Elaine Taylor (21). Elaine also featured recently in the St Patrick’s Day team event. William Hewitson, another golfer regularly featured in dispatches, was third on 39 off his 5 handicap and Alistair Biggar took fourth spot with his 38 off seventeen.
