Anderson is one of the sport’s most popular players and a capacity crowd is expected in Lakeview Park for next month’s exhibition.

The appearance of The Flying Scotsman will mark a second high-profile professional in the village this year following James Wade’s April showcase.

“We have opportunities for throwers to step up against Gary on the night and tickets for ordinary sale and the sponsorship/VIP package go on sale this weekend,” said organiser Neil Anderson. “The feedback from the James Wade night has been excellent but we want to build on it, fitting in a capacity crowd this time of around 200-plus fans.

“Tickets are sure to go fast and we are delighted to welcome Gary to the club.”
