Yachting success

LOUGH Foyle Yacht Club had a good sailing 2010 season, they had record number races held and some new members joined the club.

Last weekend five boats travelled to East Antrim Sailing Club to take part in their annual competition and Lough Foyle had a clean sweep of prizes in bronze fleet competition.

First was Kevin and James Lynch, second was duo Bill johnson and James Hockley and Danny and Gareth Gallagher were third.

In the gold fleet Keith Louden and Dessie Hughes won first race, which made them second overall at East Antrim. Overall after the six national events, which take place throughout Ireland, they had their best ever finish when they secured second.

While Moville sailors John and Donal McGuiness, won the entire gold fleet league against the very best sailors in Ireland.
