Last Tuesday night, the club had their 25 mile TT on the Castlewellan Road for the Steven Savage Memorial Shield.

There was no surprise that Paul Wilkinson’s 58 was the fastest time of the 15 riders. It was a superb effort with only Rod Stewart and Davy McKnight the only other two to get under the hour.

Matt McKinstry’s 61 was a PB for him and shows he’s still improving with every race. It was a great night too for Jonny Maxwell and Dave Frizzel, who roder their first 25 in their first year of racing.

Jonny’s 68 on an ordinary road bike and Dave’s 64 was not bad at all. What’s just as pleasing for the club is that they, like Allister, are amongst the most loyal riders, hardly ever missing a race.

The Wheelers are delighted that there is a fantastic atmosphere around and everyone is striving to train harder to do the club proud.
