Young anglers stealing the show at Islandderry

THE big trout are on the move in the Hollow Springs lake at Islandderry Fishery, Dromore with some of the younger anglers hooking into them.

Twelve year old Holt Geddis, Donacloney, broke two of his personal bests by hooking into a lovely trout of 7lb and then releasing a further 12 trout which is now the most fish he has ever caught in one session. Holt was fishing a egg fly on a floating line.

Fourteen year old Stuart Sinnamon, Blackskull also released a good trout recently tipping the scales at 10lb2. Stuart was fishing his own nymph pattern to release a further 25 trout.
