Ballymoney Youth Academy U11s 9 v 2 Bryansburn U11s

THE U11s were caught cold within minutes of the start as a Bryansburn striker fired home from close range to open the scoring.

The Academy boys were shaken but managed to get level when Chrissy Moore scrambled the ball in from a corner.

Bryansburn took the lead again when a near post corner was cleverly converted.

Seven year old super striker Connall Doherty’s mazy run and finish brought the game level at 2-2.

The impressive Moore blasted home his second after a clever turn and Ferris powered through from midfield onto McConaghie’s pass to slot home number four.

The youths started the second half well and Moore outpaced the Bryansburn defence to complete a well earned hat trick.

Highlight for manager Lyttle was the introduction of the substitutes, a mixture of eight and nine year olds who slotted in well and tormented the Bryansburn defence.

Drew McCrellis’s drag back and cool finish was the goal of the game.

Scott Douglas wasn’t to be outdone by his mate as he quickly blasted home from ten yards.

A good pass from Ben Murdoch sent Rhys Ferris clear to score his second with a good finish from the edge of the box.

Jamison, Kirkpatrick and the impressive Mark Kelly stayed focused in defence as Ballymoney attacked at every opportunity.

Ferris completed his hat trick after clever interplay by Cunningham and O’Neill sent him clear leaving the final score 9-2.
