Youth club re-launch this week

THE re-launch of St Peter's Youth Club takes place this Friday evening.

It will operate from the club’s new Youth Community Sports Hall which was officially opened last month.

The new youth club will operate two evenings a week – Wednesday and Friday from 6pm to 9pm - and offer a wide range of activities including drama, song and dance, culture, arts and crafts.

Also on the agenda will be all types of sport like football, table tennis, basketball, netball, athletics, pool and snooker.

It is planned to hold quiz nights, group discussions on a range of issues and single identity and cross-community projects which provide the children with greater understanding and tolerance of their and other peoples' culture and traditions.

Trips to various locations both locally and further afield will also be organised.

All the youth club leaders and volunteers are qualified or studying for their qualification in youth work and all have been cleared by Access NI.
