However, Coleraine then took the lead when a through ball found a forward who scored from twelve yards to make it 1-0. Coleraine extended their lead within a minute with a shot from the corner of the box. Stranocum continued to compete and got a reward when Paul Reid scored following a through ball from midfield to make it 2-1. Stranocum were now back in the match but just before half time Coleraine made it 3-1 following a scramble in the Stranocum goalmouth.

Five minutes into the second half Stranocum reduced Coleraine’s lead to 3-2 when Eoin Dobbin lobbed the home keeper. However the comeback was short lived when Coleraine scored with a long range effort which bounced off the post and eluded the Stranocum keeper.

Stranocum continued to work hard and created a few chances but the final goal of the game came from Coleraine who scored with a free kick from the edge of the box, making the final score 5-2.
