Zara on form but Ladies lose out

From the whistle, the local ladies showed that they were keen to take all three points by putting their opponents under constant pressure in the early exchanges.

The Ballynahinch keeper found herself making numerous saves as the South forwards tried endlessly to put the ball into the back of the net.

Alex Dugan displayed impressive skill with her reverse stick shots which showed the potential of this relatively newly formed squad.

Unfortunately for South, towards the end of the first half the Ballynahinch forwards broke away up the pitch and scored the only goal of the match to steal the points.
