The documentary, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, was made during the UK City of Culture year and tells the 40 year history of the band and its association with the community in the Fountain.

Spokesman and band chairman, John Rankin said the film focused on specific events that had great significance to the band, including William King’s untimely death, the events after the Council name change and the resolve and determination shown after the murder of band member Bobby Stott. The title of the documentary, ‘The Fountain and the Band of Brothers’ reflected the affection they have for the area and each other, he said.
