Whether it’s family-friendly fun or a cultural experience you’re after, here are our top five picks for things to do in County Antrim this weekend.

This free informative workshop at Sentry Hill, Newtownabbey will invite visitors into the fascinating world of the largest group of living organisms on the planet - insects. The half-day programme includes an indoor presentation highlighting some of the more common insects to be found in the area along with other more exotic creatures, with a guided excursion of the grounds to follow. It takes place on Saturday, April 29 from 10.30am - 1.30pm; visit the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council website to book.
