5. Children’s Halloween craft workshops - Carrickfergus Town Hall and Larne Town Hall
The CarrickFEARgus trail at Shaftesbury Park may be sold out, but the council is also hosting a Children’s Halloween craft workshop at Carrickfergus Town Hall on Monday, October 31. There will be music outside the Town Hall between 1pm and 4pm, with walkabout characters in the area between 2pm and 4pm. There will also be a craft workshop at Larne Town Hall on the same day, with tickets available through Eventbrite. 6. Writing workshops - Larne Market Yard
Running on Monday, October 30 from 1pm-2:30pm, the Teen Screams Short Story workshop will explore a selection of fang-tastic fiction to help participants write their own terrifying tales. All abilities are welcome; suitable for ages 13+. 7. Spooky tales by the fire - Arthur Cottage, Cullybackey
Local storyteller, Franci Simpson, will be resident by the fire and will provide suitable stories for all audiences on Wednesday, November 1. No booking is necessary as stories will continue from 12pm – 2pm. Normal admission applies; further information is available from Ballymena Visitor Information Centre on 028 2563 5010. 8. Paranormal Pumpkin Patch - Larne town centre
The Paranormal Pumpkin Patch arrived in Larne earlier this month and runs until Friday, November 10. Ten spooky characters have taken up residence at the following locations in the town centre: Caroline Smyth Photography; Hunter Campbell; Jam & Thread; Robinson Furniture; Bake; The Save Point; Hayes Travel; Pitter Patter; Plata Jewellers, and McCoubrey and Woodside Pharmacy.
