More than 120,000 people fully vaccinated by Fermanagh and Omagh's health trust

Nearly nine in 10 people aged 18 and over in Northern Ireland have received a second dose of a Covid-19 vaccine – with more than 120,000 administered by the health trust serving Fermanagh and Omagh.

Nearly nine in 10 people aged 18 and over in Northern Ireland have received a second dose of a Covid-19 vaccine – with more than 120,000 administered by the health trust serving Fermanagh and Omagh.

Northern Ireland Department of Health data shows 1,274,046 people had received both jabs by December 2, 5,889 more than the week before.

It includes 419,219 second doses given by GPs across the country, plus 125,350 by Western Health and Social Care Trust, which serves Fermanagh and Omagh.

In addition, pharmacies have given out 76,315 second doses.

It means 88% of people aged 18 and over in Northern Ireland – including all over-80s – have now been fully vaccinated, using the latest Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency population estimates.

The latest data also shows 27,758 first jabs have been given to teenagers aged 16 and 17 (61% of that age group) and 35,418 to youngsters between 12 and 15 (36%).

And 404,767 people across Northern Ireland have received a booster jab.

Western Health and Social Care Trust has administered 11,296 booster vaccines .

Figures for each age group show:

18 to 29 – 192,687 fully vaccinated (70% of that population) and 14,524 booster jabs given (5%)30 to 39 – 193,474 fully vaccinated (77%) and 21,531 booster jabs given (9%)40 to 49 – 209,136 fully vaccinated (87%) and 36,152 booster jabs given (15%)50 to 59 – 239,261 fully vaccinated (93%) and 76,813 booster jabs given (30%)60 to 69 – 199,094 fully vaccinated (99.7%) and 101,567 booster jabs given (51%)70 to 79 – 146,011 fully vaccinated (99.6%) and 97,001 booster jabs given (66%)80 and over – 83,924 all fully vaccinated and 56,526 booster jabs given (68%)

The figures show that 1.4 million people have had a first jab.
