A Newry, Mourne and Down takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

MCCANN'S FISH AND CHIPS, a takeaway at Unit 8 Greenbank Service Station, Newry, Down was given the score after assessment on June 8, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newry, Mourne and Down's 151 takeaways with ratings, 108 (72%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
