Ballynure has been crowned Northern Ireland's overall ‘Best of the Best’ winner at the 2026 Best Kept City, Town, Village and Housing Area Awards, following its success in the Best Kept Small Village category.

The picturesque village impressed judges with its vibrant floral displays, immaculate presentation and strong community spirit, demonstrated by local volunteers who work tirelessly to create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
It was a standout day for the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough area, with Antrim holding onto their title of Best Kept Large Town for a second consecutive year and Randalstown taking home the award for Best Kept Small Town, showcasing the Borough's continued commitment to civic pride and environmental excellence.
