The Comber-based business achieved an EBITDA margin of 10.4%, while turnover increased by 14.1% on a pro-rata comparison with the previous reporting period.

Founded by Martin and Tracy Hamilton in 2004, Mash Direct is based on the family’s sixth-generation farm in Comber, where it produces prepared potato and vegetable sides for customers across the UK and Ireland.

Mash Direct employed an average of 220 people during the year. Wages and salaries totalled £7.2m, with total staff costs exceeding £8m.

The company also invested more than £400,000 in its manufacturing operation during 2025, with investment increasing further in 2026 and another significant capital programme planned for 2027.

CEO Jack Hamilton said: “These results show a stronger Mash Direct, but what matters to us is what that allows us to do next. We are continuing to grow from Comber, supporting 220 jobs and increasing investment in our manufacturing capability.

“Our ambition is to take food grown here in Northern Ireland to more customers across the UK and Ireland while continuing to invest in the people, farming relationships and manufacturing capability behind it.”
