Ballee venue for Festival of Steam in July

The popular annual Festival of Steam & Transport will be rolling into Ballymena next month when Ballee Playing Fields will be the venue on July 17 and 18.

The special attraction this year will be County/Roadless tractors and JCB and there will also be tractor pulling, miniature steam heavy haulage, trade stands, craft stands etc.

Entries are still being taken and entry forms can be downloaded from the club web site www.ulstersteam.co.uk.

Meanwhile the Traction Engine Club of Ulster’s first event of the summer season will take them to view the collection of Stephen and Wilbert Robinson at Glenarm on June 24.

This will be followed by their Road Run on June 27 when all pre 1976 (Pre Q Cab) tractors will be welcome. The run will leave Rory Woolf’s yard at Tamlough Road, the Caddy, Randalstown at 11am stopping for refreshments at Hillstown Farm Shop.
