In the lead up to the World Cup in Brazil this summer, McCoy’s are giving football fans and their mates the chance to watch the games from their very own favourite bar stool from their local pub, recreated in Rio.

The Corner House is doing amazingly well and, at the time of going to press was sitting in third place. If it can stay in the top five it will be considered by a panel of judges, including Al Murray, the pub landlord. Should the Corner House be chosen as the winner, the Derrymacash pub including the landlord and customers will be ‘transported’ to Brazil in June for the grand opening of the tournament.

Recreated close to Rio’s beachfront, fans will be able to enjoy the football and carnival atmosphere in the familiar surrounds of their very own local pub, complete with all the comforts and interior decoration from the original.

After voting closes on March 21, there will be 40 more spaces up for grabs, so McCoy’s fans can get out there and join in the carnival atmosphere. Simply look out for promotional packs in stores.

The prize includes return flights, a week’s accommodation at a luxury hotel and £400 spending money per person travelling to Rio de Janeiro as a prize winner.
