Kelly-Louise braves the shave for the NHS

Local woman Kelly-Louise Quinn has been so struck by the urgent need for funds and supplies for the NHS during the current health crisis that she made the brave decision to shed her locks to raise money at this difficult time.

Kelly-Louise decided to shave her head and has set up a Just Giving page in the hope that people will give generously to help the heroes at the frontline of this battle against Covid-19.

“I decided to do this because I wanted to try help raise money for the NHS in the current situation as we all know they are running low on supplies. They need all our support and help at the moment due to the unique pressure they are currently under with this freak pandemic that no one seemed to see coming,” explained Kelly-Louise. “I wanted to try and show that we all care and that we all want to try help even in as little a way as possible as the NHS is such an important part of our lives.

“When the time came to actually get my hair shaved my anxiety had sky rocketed and I was telling myself I can’t do this but I just thought of why I was doing it and that helped me to go through with it.”

Kelly-Louise has been overwhelmed by the support so far and she is hoping to raise £300 which will be donated to the NHS. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, visit www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/kelly-louise-quinn.
