Neighbourhood Policing Team increases high-visibility patrols in Carrickfergus

Officers from Carrickfergus Neighbourhood Policing Team have increased high-visibility beat patrols across local residential areas.

It follows recent reports of youths targeting and attacking private properties.

"We want to remind everyone why this behavior needs to stop,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

"Residents – including elderly neighbors and young families – deserve to feel safe and secure in their own homes without fear of intimidation or damage to their property.

"Vandalism and property damage place unnecessary financial strain and emotional distress on hard-working members of our community.

"Anti-social behavior and criminal damage carry serious legal consequences, which can lead to a criminal record and impact future education, employment, and travel opportunities.

"We urge parents and guardians to know where their children are, who they are with, and what they are doing in the evenings.

"If you witness anti-social behavior or have information regarding recent property attacks, please contact us on 101 or report it anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
