Translink calling for Foyle legends

Translink is calling on the Derry~Londonderry public to create a Bus of Legends celebrating the best in local talent. The unique Double Decker will be an eye-catching 'moving tribute' showcasing the top 2 local living legends as voted for by the public. The new ‘Foyle Legends’ campaign will honour local heroes who have excelled in their industry and shine a spotlight on the wealth of talent which Londonderry has produced. As it travels across the city, the Foyle Legends bus will pay tribute to two of these inspirational individuals as voted for by the public.

The bus will be the second in Translink’s Legends series and follows the success of the Metro Legends bus unveiled in Belfast last year, which saw the public vote for rugby star Rory Best and actor Jamie Dornan.

Encouraging everyone who is proud of their city to nominate, Alan Young, Service Delivery Manager, Ulsterbus Foyle said: “The city of Londonderry is home to some of the most talented men and women in Northern Ireland. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate top local talent than this unique Foyle Legends Double Decker.”
