Alderman: Please attend DPP meeting

CHAIRMAN of the Londonderry District Policing Partnership (DPP) Joe Miller is encouraging members of the public to come along to its next meeting in the Key Largo Function Room, Everglades Hotel, Prehen on Tuesday, June 22 at 7.30pm.

Alderman Joe Miller stated: "I would encourage members of the public to attend all public meetings of the District Policing Partnership.

"Public meetings provide local residents with the opportunity to pose policing questions to the Area Commander. The meeting will also provide a platform for local residents to present their views on policing within the District. District Policing Partnerships have worked tirelessly to ensure that local people continue shape local policing.

"Members of the Partnership realize that this can only be achieved with continued input from the public.'

At this meeting the PSNI Area Commander will present his twelve-month (Annual) report (April 2009 - March 2010) on policing within the District.

Members of the public are welcome to attend all public meetings of the DPP, which offers the opportunity to observe the Area Commander's response to questions posed by members of the DPP.

This meeting will also provide a chance for local people to present their views on policing and will provide a platform for members of the public to question the Area Commander, through the Chairperson of the DPP.
