Appeal by FS&R for new volunteers

Foyle Search and Rescue needs enthusiastic people to work as volunteers.

To keep costs down, application packs can be collected from Friday, November 13, from the FS&R base at Victoria Road, Londonderry, BT47 2AB, Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm, or Friday, 9am to 5pm, or send an A4 stamped addressed envelope and one will be forwarded to you. Alternatively, pick one up from the charity at the North West Volunteer Fair at the Guildhall on Thursday, November 19.

Applicants need to be over 21 and able to undertake night duty if they want to do shore volunteering.

Applicants need to be reasonably fit and have a good standard of general health.

Fundraising Volunteers need to be over the age of 16 and able to actively participate in any events organised in aid of FS&R. This role is independent from an active suicide prevention role within the organisation.

Closing date for applications is Sunday, December 6. Shortlisting will take place over the Christmas period.

Applicants will then be contacted mid to late January.
