Stephen Ryan, a Lough Neagh fisherman and rescue service volunteer, has been praised for his fatherly efforts after his wife Janine posted pictures of the finished fairy house - complete with a swing - on Facebook.

She said: “After visiting the Giants Lair a few weeks ago the girls wanted a new fairy house for their fairy garden so they asked their daddy to make them one.

“Today he came up trumps. They are all very impressed said thank you and now they want more to create a fairy village.

“Well done Stephen, happy girls tonight,” she added.

Now the youngsters want him to keep on building a full fairy village for their already existing fairy garden, Stephen will be a busy man fulfilling requests.

Janine said: “We already have the fairy garden.

“Michelle and myself and Stephen have lots of fun adding fairies and moving them about on the girls.”
