Assembly Election 2016: Girvan tops poll in South Antrim

The first results from South Antrim are in and the DUP's Paul Girvan has topped the poll.

Girvan received 5014 first preference votes however he has missed the quota by six votes meaning after round one, nobody has been elected.

Declan Kearney of Sinn Fein received 4632 votes, with Pamela Cameron DUP receiving 4589 votes.

Mark Young of the Conservatives and Independent Candidate David McMaster were both elemented at this stage.
