'Bankers of God' film

THE Magic Lantern Film Society will be hosting 'Bankers of God' at the Nerve Centre on Magazine Street this Thursday, February 4.

The film will commence at 7pm sharp and will be the final film in the society’s series of films on the dark side of power.

From next week the Magic Lantern will be continuing with the rest of their programme, with a real treat for Hitchcock fans on Thursday, February 11.

With Bankers of God, Italian director Giuseppe Ferrara weaves a cinematic re-telling of the death of the prominent Italian banker Roberto Calvi, who was found hanging twenty years ago from London’s Blackfriars Bridge.

You can still get membership for the society, which will last until the summer at a price of 25/20 concessionary. Alternatively you can also pay for each screening at the price of 3 per screening.
